Longing for color in the midst of some heavy winter doldrums, these bright and juicy bolts of doublegauze from Cotton & Steel popped up at gather here at the perfect moment. I grabbed some and made a placemat – satisfying the itch to make with a quick and easy project while refreshing some class samples with some fabulous new fabric. I am in love with these colors and the generally sumptuous texture of doublegauze. I think I need to use more of it in my patchwork. Love love love it!
